This year is the centenary of the end of the First World War. The Royal British Legion has an important campaign to say 'Thank You' to all who served, sacrificed, and changed our world during the First World War.

This campaign is for all in that generation; who went to the frontline, stayed at home, lost family and friends, worked the on the land or in factories. The charity is calling on mass involvement from the public to recognise the legacy left to us by the First World War generation.

We all have personal stories from conflict throughout the last century. Tomorrow we remember those who have gone and those who are still here. Whilst we must reflect and learn from the past, we also remember those in the present and provide the support and help needed.
